Outdoor aviary – Good / bad idea?

I saw an ad for an outdoor aviary that looked pretty cool. It has a main bird area for the birds to be in and fly in, and a small area for exiting so the birds don’t fly out. If we move to Texas, I would like to consider buying one so the birds could spend a lot of time outside. Has anyone had an avary like this? What would be pros and cons?

pros: the bird can fly outdoors, looks good, bird can breed quickly if they are paired, healthy bird.
cons: expensive; maybe a problem if the location gets cold during winter.
